The Ethical Finance ASEAN Summit 2022 was a virtual event, held on 29th June 2022. Space Intelligence was happy to be a sponsor for this event as an opportunity to gather experts on sustainable and responsible finance. This event considered broader macroeconomic issues impacting global markets as well as investigating several key topics such as financing nature and biodiversity through panellist discussions. Our dedication to closing the information gap in ESG reporting drove us to sponsor this event to highlight the importance of accurate data.

Our own Alexis Moyer, Head of ESG and Spatial Finance featured as a panellist for the summit’s discussion on the ESG data challenge. In this discussion, Alexis highlighted how satellite data supports sustainability reporting for businesses and investments. Ground data collection methods are challenged by scale and time – satellite data allows for more frequent, much larger areas to be analysed. Our Mapping Product Suite supports nature-based solutions projects from opportunity to ongoing assurance. Accurate satellite data has the capacity to aid decision-making on reforestation projects, monitor green bond projects, maximise accuracy in carbon capture estimation, and more.
