We’re ‘Inspired by Space’!

We were thrilled to work with Connect and Spire on the new ‘Inspired by Space’ podcast!

In this series, space expert Dr Murray Collins and broadcaster Kim McAllister condensed as much of Scotland’s space sector across the central belt into three episodes as they could. Scotland’s Chief Entrepreneur Mark Logan explains why a career in space in Scotland is so appealing.

Joel Spark, Spire co-founder, and Hina Khan, Head of UK Stakeholder Engagement, show us around the Spire offices and chat about the company’s exponential growth and the amazing opportunities for people to work at Spire, which includes the opportunity to name a satellite.

Dr Murray Collins invites us into the Edinburgh Space Intelligence headquarters, the company he and co-founder Professor Ed Mitchard have been building through the pandemic.

From 4 to 27 staff in a couple of short years, Space Intelligence has gone global and is now helping to save forests across the world using space data.

Dr Alexis Moyer and Dr Paula Nieto Quintano explain explain the science behind their work at Space Intelligence, while Coleen Caina and Phoenix Chandler talk about finding jobs with a purpose – even if none of their friends can grasp what they do!

This series is aimed at people wanting to understand the Scottish space sector and the job opportunities within it.
