Today, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Symbiosis Coalition, an advanced market commitment to catalyze the next generation of nature-based carbon removal projects, with the goal of removing 20 million tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere.
As Symbiosis Coalition launches its next rigorous Request for Proposals (RFP) for reforestation, agroforestry and mangrove projects, Space Intelligence has been selected to provide efficient and robust geospatial analysis of projects to help assess alignment against Symbiosis’ Quality Criteria. By leveraging the Space Intelligence platform featuring our latest technology and embedding our domain expertise, Symbiosis Coalition will evaluate projects using its rigorous quality criteria, assessing offtake readiness, and climate impact.
Rapid, Robust Assessment of Projects
Symbiosis Coalition will leverage our Due Diligence product. The product uses a variety of our own investment-grade nature mapping datasets, expertly curated third-party layers, proprietary algorithms and analysis engines, to support near instant review of projects against land-based evaluation criteria including:
- Land Eligibility: Confirming historical and present-day land cover to ensure projects meet strict methodology requirements.
- Non-Permanence (Durability) Risk: Evaluating fire, flood, and anthropogenic threats over 10, 50, and 100-year horizons.
- Leakage Risk: Assessing the likelihood of deforestation being displaced to surrounding areas.
- Dynamic Baseline Integrity: Comparing project developer growth curves against our own automated estimates to flag over-optimistic projections
